Biography
Tim began his musical journey at age sixteen, diving headfirst into the world of dance music. Drawn to the driving energy of tech-trance, he soon adopted the moniker Tim Nokx and graced clubs across the Netherlands. Early originals like “Perception” and “Carpe Diem” earned support from scene heavyweights such as Paul van Dyk and Above & Beyond, solidifying his reputation as a rising talent.
After stepping back from the booth to embrace fatherhood, Tim’s love for music resurfaced with renewed intensity. Seeking a sound that balanced emotion and groove, he found progressive house. In November 2022, he returned behind the decks as Toffk, channeling deep atmospheres and heartfelt storytelling into every mix.
Since then, Toffk has launched his monthly radio show on Saturo Sounds, airing every second Tuesday from 20:00 to 21:00 CET. Each broadcast unfolds as a musical narrative, combining the best progressive house of the moment with exclusive first plays of his own new productions, inviting listeners on a journey of feeling and passion.
On the production front, Toffk’s skills have matured rapidly. Releases on labels such as Future Avenue, Alltum Records, In2U Records, Dreamlab, and 3rd Avenue showcase an ever-evolving sonic signature. With each new track, his technical finesse sharpens and his unique sound palette grows more distinct.
For Toffk, working within this vibrant scene is pure joy. Having carved out his niche, he savors the freedom to express himself fully, both in the studio and behind the decks. That sense of liberation resonates in his music, and it fuels his ongoing evolution as an artist and as an individual.
